One Big Cuddle Bug

This morning I awoke to Molly in the backyard, acting all too quiet, for my rambunctious, vivacious doggie.....

And there was a reason:

It seemed a few of these had escaped in the wee hours this morning!

These girls....oh they are adventurous for sure!! Courageous feathered friends....luckily for them, Molly was rolling in the grass, thinking they wanted to play with her!

All chickens are safely put away, and accounted for. And Molly, showed me once again how much of a gentle giant she really is.

Have you figured out how the little Houdinis escaped?

Sweet!

Are your chickens wings clipped?

I grew up on a farm and we often woke to find the chickens out but rarely with such a happy outcome! Whew! Glad everyone is a-okay!

The chickens wings are not clipped, since they have a huge chicken run with boards to crawl up and down and dirt and grass to dig in. It's ironic because Molly who is easily 75lbs loves to herd the chickens, and she never nips or growls. While my in-laws smaller dogs will bite the chickens.
